Producido por LUYO (Fuego, J Balvin, Martínez Brothers, Duki, Fabulous y
también el sencillo “Lunares” de Valentina el año pasado) y de la composición
del mismo junto a Valentina. “yo sad, tú feliz” mezcla el pop urbano de hoy con
una letra que trae el mensaje de la diferencias después de la ruptura de una
relación y la realización como ese fin es visto y vivido de ambos lados.
“Cuando LUYO me mando este tema, pensé: wao, me identifico, es como una
experiencia vivida…bueno como lo vio aquel por lo menos…LOL” comenta Valentina.
El video, grabado en su natal República Dominicana, muestra un mundo que
se ve surrealista, donde Valentina resalta y la muestra dentro de carácter
“sad” en una casa pequeña donde ella es la gigante. La casita fue construida
completamente de madera, tomando en cuenta cada detalle minimalista de una casa
de muñecas. Los trabajadores de la región se tomaron más de 60 horas en
construir los artefactos en miniatura; dejando una pequeña apertura para que la
artista, en carácter “sad” lograra entrar.
“Me tomaba media hora para poder acomodarme dentro del set y con mucho
cuidado para no romper o aplastar las utilerías... fue una experiencia única e
inolvidable” agregó Valentina con picardía.

with her first single of 2023 entitled "yo sad, tú feliz."

Balvin, Martinez Brothers, Duki, Fabulous and also the single
"Lunares" by Valentina last year) and composed with Valentina,
"yo sad, tú feliz" mixes today's urban pop with lyrics that parlays
the message of the difference of life after the end of a relationship and the
realization of how the breakup is seen and lived by both sides.
"When LUYO sent me this
track, I thought wow, I identify, it's like I lived this experience... well as
the way the other saw it at least... LOL," commented Valentina.
The video, recorded in her native
Dominican Republic, shows a world that looks surreal, where Valentina stands
out and demonstrates her "sad" persona in a small house where she is
the giant. The house was built entirely of wood, taking into account every
minimalist detail of a dollhouse. Workers in the region took more than 60 hours
to build the miniature artifacts; leaving a small opening for the artist, in
"sad" character to enter.
"It took me half an hour to
be able to settle inside the set and had to be very careful not to break or
crush the props... it was a unique and unforgettable experience."
