Media Opportunity: Active Violence Response Training is a Must in America

Active shooter situations continue to occur at a devastating rate in America.

19 states saw active shooter situations in 2020 with California featuring the most with a staggering six active shooter events. An FBI report shows that these events were not contained to certain venues either. There were shootings at schools, bars, concerts, malls, etc.

Just as people practice a fire escape route with the hope, they never endure a fire, having a plan in advance for an active shooter situation can save lives.

As the nation’s leader in active violence response training, AVERT looks to empower citizens with potentially life-saving training. AVERT instructors cover everything from identifying warning signs of a violent attack to how to make the potentially life-saving decision to escape, evade, or attack.

Managing Director of AVERT, Anthony Corwin, explains that AVERT is available to anyone looking to learn skills that can better protect themselves, their families, or their coworkers. AVERT trainers provide their services for schools, businesses, government buildings, places of worship and more.

Anthony Corwin says that businesses who hire AVERT do their employees a great service.

“It is our sincere hope that the lessons learned by AVERT trainees never need to be put into action, but attendees consistently provide feedback that they feel more confident about facing an active violence situation and they feel more appreciated by their employer.
